My Story

Denise Gascoigne brings nearly two decades of expertise in nutrition and health coaching to Dahlia Center. A lifelong advocate for holistic wellness, Denise earned her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Utah, where she developed and taught courses focused on women’s health and nutrition. Denise is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF-PCC). Her credentials also include certifications as a Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach (DPP) and a Qualified Instructor in Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT), equipping her to provide a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to health.

At Dahlia Center, Denise takes a holistic, mindfulness-based approach to nutrition, focusing on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of her clients. With her extensive background in women’s health, Denise empowers individuals and families to cultivate sustainable, nourishing habits that support not only maternal health but also the well-being of their babies and families. Her patient-centered approach ensures that each client feels heard, valued, and well-equipped to thrive in their perinatal journey.

Denise offers a range of specialized services tailored to her clients’ unique needs, including:

  • Medical Nutrition Therapy: for conditions like PCOS, insulin resistance/diabetes, gestational diabetes, hypertension, and nutrition support for mental health

  • Women’s Nutrition: education and support

  • Hormonal Health: using nutrition to assist with hormonal challenges, such as PMDD and perimenopause

  • Preconception, Prenatal, Postpartum, and Lactation Dietary Support: assisting parents with optimal nutrition for fertility and a healthy baby

  • Infant Nutrition Guidance: support for navigating dietary restrictions, introducing solids, and ensuring a healthy start

 

Denise is deeply passionate about integrating mindfulness, body awareness, and individualized care to support each client in reaching their fullest potential. Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in community, sharing her passion for food, and practicing the mindfulness principles she teaches.
