Appointments

Scheduling Process

1. Schedule an Intake Assessment with our Intake Therapist Rachel Levenfeld LCSW.

2. At your Intake Assessment, Rachel will review your history, gather additional information, and evaluate your symptoms. She'll collaborate with you to develop a treatment plan to help you measure your progress and meet your mental health goals. She will then help you determine which psychiatric provider would be the best fit and help get you scheduled for your Initial Psychiatric Appointment.

3. Complete your Initial Psychiatric Appointment and follow up as scheduled.

3. Begin our Holistic Mental Wellness groups. These groups foster connection and community, and contain essential knowledge that everyone should have as part of their wellness journey. Classes are strongly recommended but are not required.

4. Meet with your Health and Wellness Coordinator. At Dahlia Center, we believe that there's so much more to mental health than medication. We integrate holistic wellness into our treatment plans to help you meet your goals and thrive!

Holistic Mental Wellness Groups

Many of our patients feel isolated or unsupported, and benefit from community and connection. We're committed to providing psychiatric care that treats the entire patient, and are proud to host our Holistic Mental Wellness groups. These groups are virtual, and are hosted by both a medical provider and a Health and Wellness Coach. Patients will briefly see a medical provider, allowing groups are billed through insurance as shared medical appointments, or can be paid for out of pocket (see self pay fee schedule). They are a more economical way to access treatment compared to individual appointments.

Please note that these sessions need to be scheduled on different days than your individual psychiatric appointments for insurance coverage.

Groups rotate Wednesdays 5:15-6:15pm or Thursdays 10:00-11:00am, and are available on an ongoing basis.

Somatic Self-Regulation:

Patients begin with a foundational session where they learn somatic techniques designed to calm the nervous system and shift out of the fight-or-flight response. These skills are practical and can be applied immediately to enhance self-soothing and self-regulation. While we strongly encourage all patients to complete this group, it is not mandatory for continued care.

Topics covered: Neuroscience-based skills to regulate the nervous system, Havening techniques, Breath work, Meditation, Somatic work

Advanced Mental Wellness Groups:

After completing the Somatic Self-Regulation group, patients have the option to graduate into the Advanced Holistic Mental Wellness groups. These sessions are designed to continue building community, and to explore more complex topics to enrich the overall wellness experience. Patients may continue these groups regularly or intermittently, whenever they would benefit from the additional community and support.

Topics covered: Resilience and self-empowerment, Gratitude and self-worth, Transforming negative self-talk, Nourishing the mind and body, Building connection, Embracing and understanding emotions and feelings, Healing through grief and loss, Cultivating community and support
