My Story
Chelsea is a dedicated healthcare professional with dual certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her journey in healthcare began with earning her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Olivet Nazarene University, where she provided acute and primary care to individuals of all ages in her community. While working in primary care, Chelsea became acutely aware of the growing demand for mental health services and the barriers her patients faced in accessing care. Determined to address this gap, she returned to school at Maryville University to specialize as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, expanding mental health resources in her community.
Chelsea is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive mental health care with a holistic, patient-centered approach. She integrates principles of holistic mental health treatment and functional medicine, addressing the root causes of mental health concerns while considering the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and environmental factors. Her approach includes evidence-based natural treatments and lifestyle strategies alongside traditional care, empowering patients to achieve wellness on their terms. She is especially committed to supporting mental wellness throughout the perinatal period, helping individuals navigate the unique challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting. Chelsea values the power of therapeutic relationships and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Beyond her clinical work, Chelsea is dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth, frequently attending workshops and conferences to stay current with the latest advancements in mental health treatment, holistic care, and functional medicine. When she's not working, Chelsea enjoys beach vacations with her family, diving into psychological thrillers, cheering on her two kids at their sporting events, and spending quality time with her two golden retrievers.
