INTAKE & CARE NAVIGATION SPECIALIST

About Me

I’m a trauma-informed therapist who has dedicated my career to serving children and families in the Chicago area.

I originally moved to Illinois from Michigan to pursue an advanced degree in education, but along the way, I was introduced to the many dimensions of social work and community action. I pivoted into social work and discovered a world of mental health care where infants, young children, and their caregivers were often not given the focus they deserved.

I graduated from Erikson Institute and Loyola University Chicago, earning dual advanced degrees. I spent several years working in community mental health, where I supported children and families navigating a wide range of mental health concerns. I also developed rich experience in child welfare, providing assessment and psychoeducation to people from ages 0 to 99.

In 2024, I began working on a team of perinatal-focused clinicians, providing in-the-moment support to the perinatal population through a free hotline. That experience deepened my interest in the lack of understanding, support, and care available to birthing people.

My clinical approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in relationships and resilience.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outside with my partner and three children, reading a good book, or catching up on the occasional reality TV.
