INTEGRATIVE PSYCHIATRIC SPECIALIST

About Me

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in nursing and behavioral health.

My treatment philosophy centers on thoughtful, relationship-based care that honors the complex connection between mental health, physical wellness, and the unique life experiences of women.

My career began in psychiatric nursing, following a decade of work in hospital and long-term care settings, where I developed a passion for holistic, patient-centered treatment. I earned my graduate nursing degree in 2008 and completed my post-master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of St. Francis in 2015. In my practice, I use a comprehensive biopsychosocial framework, integrating medical knowledge with emotional, hormonal, and lifestyle considerations to guide individualized care.

I specialize in women’s mental health across the lifespan and am a certified menopause coach. I treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders with particular attention to reproductive transitions, hormonal shifts, midlife changes, and the evolving mental health needs of women.

My approach combines evidence-based medication management, trauma-informed care, and a focus on lifestyle factors. I emphasize nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and sustainable self-care as essential parts of mental and emotional wellness.

Patients often describe my style as collaborative, compassionate, and empowering. I view treatment as a partnership and work closely with each patient to develop an individualized plan that supports emotional resilience, clarity, and lasting well-being.

Outside of clinical practice, I’m a CrossFit athlete and Level 2 coach, nutrition coach, and proud rescue dog mom to Waldo. I also love traveling and attending live music events around the U.S. with my daughter.

Self-Care Playbook

Making fitness a priority helps me mentally and physically show up as my best self. Walks with my dog, drinking a good cup of coffee, time with my girlfriends at our monthly book club, listening to my favorite vinyls and spending time with my daughter are things that fill my bucket and give me balance in my life. I strive to keep life simple and keep the noise of the world from being too disruptive in my own life.

A Note Before You Start

Start where you are, you do not have to do this alone. Seeking help is a sign of awareness, not weakness.
